"Working with Jamie and Sarah were both great experiences. I started a boot camp training with Jamie last fall when my usual workout was getting to a bit mundane. I loved it!!! He is very knowlegeable, helpful, motivational and challenges you to challenge yourself. Boot camp not only helped me lose that "last 10 lbs" it kept me accountable to my workouts and get in great shape. Not to mention it is so nice to have someone directing you in your workout and know you are getting the maximum result out of a set amount of time. It is nice to get your workout knocked out in the morning so there are no excuses at the end of the day!! I highly recommend training with Jamie whether or not you are a runner. I joined Sarah's Team in Training for the Monument Avenue 10-K this past Janaury. Prior to this I had never run more than 3 miles in my life!!! Though I had been running 2 miles 3 times a week on a fairly consistent basis, running 6.2 miles seemed impossible to me. Sarah's motivational talks and advice were invaluable not to mention her awesome sense of humor. She is a very experienced runner that definately runs for the love of running. She is very knowlegeable in all aspects of running. To have that support while you are doing your runs knowing that she is supporting you every step of the way can get you through the most difficult runs, the ones you think that there is no way you can finish. Her voice in my head telling me "to leave it all on the road" is the only thing that got me through the last .2 miles of the 10-K when I wanted to quit. Its amazing how much you can accomplish with a good support system. I would definately recommend Sarah as a running coach and will be joining her team again next year!! "Sarah changed my life. At 40 years old, I never thought that I would call myself a runner. I met Sarah shortly after I gave birth to my 3rd child. I was anxious to start exercising again, but was limited because of childcare and financial issues. Sarah encouraged me to try running: “If I can do it, anyone can do it”. And the truth was, she didn’t “look” like your typical runner, and I believed her. Sarah graciously offered to run with me, and that made all the difference. It’s a huge motivator knowing you have someone waiting on you, and then someone to chat with while you have the breath. Sarah encouraged me to sign up for the Monument Ave 10K (6.2 miles, was she crazy?!), and then we trained together. As an experienced runner, and a member of the 10K training team, she had the knowledge to make a great plan. With her support and encouragement, I ran and finished my first race. I didn’t finish 1st, but I didn’t finish last either!
